We offer a variety of programs to meet every child's needs, our experienced teachers provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for your child to learn and grow. Our programs are specifically designed to deliver services from new born to 12 years old.
Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to provide a comfortable and engaging atmosphere for children of all ages. We have age-appropriate toys, books, and equipment, as well as outdoor play areas and a nutritious meal programs.
We Offer
Our bright and spacious rooms provides your little one with a safe and stimulating environment full of fun activities and age appropriate toys. Our daily routine and weekly scheduling supports each child’s individual needs and development. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine. We have a beautiful playground area where children can play during the day. We also have strollers available to take children on walk around the building.
Parents can expect teachers to communicate with them on daily basis, providing them with an up to date information on their child’s daily eating, sleeping and toileting habits.
Our daily routine incorporates a variety of activities geared at helping child development, including gross motor activities, STEM activities, multicultural awareness, outdoor play and much more.
This program focus on helping children to have a smooth and healthy transition from home to preschool. Basic routines and development of social skills are learned through an assortment of learning experiences. Toddlers are set up to explore creativity and imagination through play and visual arts.
In toddler room children are given the opportunity to explore and learn in a safe and stimulating environment. Weekly activities are planned to meet each child's interest and to encourage exploration, learning, and independence. Furniture is child-size so children can learn independent self-help skills such as eating.
Breakfast and hot lunch will be provided. Each child will have his/her own cot as daily sleep/rest time is required. The staff will guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and personal hygiene skills.
As communication becomes more important at this age, children will be encouraged to develop language skills through songs, stories, and games. This will help expand their vocabulary and expressive language. “Circle time” will be interactive and will encourage child participation. Child will enjoy sensory exploration through sand and water play. Age-appropriate educational toys will teach toddler various concepts such as colors, shapes, numbers, and sizes. Toddlers will also have an outdoor playground with age-appropriate play structure (slides, ropes, stairs, etc.), riding toys (bicycles/cars), balls, and a sand box. Daily reports about child's day (i.e. meals, length of nap time, etc.) are provided to parents.
This program is designated for children who are in the process of making the transition from toddlers to school-age children. This program includes more group time and more elaborate creative activities. The preschool program offers the next step in your child’s development, following the toddler curriculum such as language, arts, math, science, and movement. At the end of the week there will be a general overview of child’s activities and accomplishments in their cubby as well as worksheets provided for further learning.
Glenridding ELC offers every child with choices for play and planned activities in the pre-school room. Learning centre's will be available to preschoolers at any time. Children will have choice to practice in different skills through play such as:
Planned activities will be posted weekly and have different topics. Children learn different concepts such as numbers, letters, shapes, colors, sequence, and patterns. They are encouraged to recognize, name, and trace numbers and letters. “Circle time” is interactive and helps develop expressive language through songs, stories, and games.
Preschooler's have a playground with age-appropriate play structures. Breakfast, hot lunches are provided and sleep/rest time (quiet activities) are offered daily. Weekly reports about child’s day (i.e. activities, learning progress, etc.) are provided to parents.
This program focus on developing child’s academic skills through variety of activities. with use of group and individual project work, children expand their skills in mathematics, science, music, visual arts, drama, language and social skills. Through daily routines Glenridding Early Learning Centre's staff will teach children to apply these skills in reading, writing, and basic mathematics.
Children are offered choices of play in learning centres (science/sensory, creative art, books, and dramatic centre) as well as an academically oriented curriculum. Our weekly program plans implement activities that encourage children to develop writing, reading, and math skills such as recognizing and printing uppercase, lowercase letters, writing words and short messages (sentences), printing and counting numbers to 100, addition and subtraction, to prepare them for first grade. Children will learn basic vocabulary, colors, numbers, shapes, days of the week, months of the year, simple phrases, songs, and games.
Glenridding Early Learning Centre's kinder program have an outdoor playground with age-appropriate play structures and various outdoor games. Weather permitting, outdoor activities are scheduled twice a day (morning and afternoon). Breakfast, snacks are provided. Quiet activities are offered every day. At end of the week there is a general overview about child’s activities and accomplishments in their cubby. This age group is also offered “Group Reading” program where children learn to recognize their sight words as the basis of reading and writing.
This program concentrates on developing child’s academic skills with variety of activities. with the use of group and individual project work, children expand their skills in mathematics, science, music, visual arts, drama, language and social skills. Through daily routines staff will teach children to apply these skills to reading, writing, and basic mathematics.
Children will be offered choices of play in the learning centres (science/sensory, creative arts, books, and a dramatic centre) as well as an academically oriented curriculum. Our weekly program plans implement activities that encourage children to develop writing, reading, and math skills, such as writing sentences and paragraphs and performing basic arithmetic functions, all to advance their elementary grade performance. Children also learn through the use of educational games.
Glenridding Early Learning Centre's afterschool program also have a significant physical exercise component. Children access the outdoor playground where they can participate in various outdoor games. Weather permitting, outdoor activities are scheduled once a day.
Snacks are provided daily. Quiet activities are also offered every day. At end of the week there will be a general overview about child’s activities and accomplishments.
This age group is also offered “Group Reading” program with the intent to strengthen their reading and writing capabilities.
